A Family Tradition Since 1900...

Grand pop Belletieri came to America in 1900 and opened a neighborhood Italian store, offering fresh vegetables, olive oil, seasonings, pasta and the tomato and marinara sauces he learned how to make in Italy. Since 1958, Mom and Pop (Sue and Gino) Belletieri have been preparing home style tomato and marinara sauce the same way Grand pop did...no additives, no preservatives, no shortcuts. Just 100% natural Italian goodness!

Today, five generations of Belletieri's are keeping up with family tradition by preparing nothing but Grand pop's recipes for tomato and marinara sauce. The Belletieri family is busy serving Allentown's Best Italian food at Louie's Restaurant through our in-house service, catering and home delivery.

The Belletieri family took the popularity of the sauces in the restaurant and jarred the sauces to sell for retail. The sauces along with a number of Italian specialties make up the Belletieri product line which is available in a number of supermarkets and specialty stores throughout the Northeast.

Louie's Restaurant has been an Allentown tradition for more than 35 years. The Belletieri's prepare seafood, pasta, veal and chicken dishes fresh for you to enjoy in the restaurant's casual dining atmosphere.

For lunch, try our famous Lunch Buffet, available Monday through Friday from 11:45 to 1:30.

In 1958, Gino's opened at 1207 Chew Street by Sue and Gino Belletieri. The Belletieri family over the next thirty years was involved in many restaurants in the area including Chicago Sports Saloon, Blue Moon Diner and the Perkiomen Bridge Hotel. Louie's opened in 1986 at the original Gino's site.

Louie's kept expanding and in 1988 opened Louie's Bakery, shortly after Louie's Catering began and opened a small catering facility nearby that we now know as Little Louie's.

In 1992, Belletieri's Sauces began jarring famous Tomato and Marinara sauces and selling Louie's Gift Baskets. Now our sauces are in grocery stores all over and we continue to develop new items.
